July 1st, 2017 marked the return of the Political Contribution Refund (PCR) here in Minnesota! All MN DFL members are encouraged to donate $50 individual/$100 married couple to a MN DFL group such as SD64 DFL or MN state office candidate such as Rep Erin Murphy, Rep Dave Pinto, or Sen Dick Cohen between now and December 31st, 2017. See here for details. When you donate to SD64 DFL at a fundraiser or online, our treasurer will send you a receipt in the mail which you can mail to the state with the 2017 Form PCR application to receive a full refund within a few weeks! It’s a great, easy way to support grass root DFL groups such as SD64 DFL. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can guide you through the process.
For the first time, SD64 DFL has scored a great fundraising opportunity by staffing the beer tent at Highland Fest during the concert by Kat Perkins, The Voice semifinalist a few years ago. The concert is from 6-10pm, Saturday July 15, and we need 6 additional volunteers. Please reach out to Chris Haas at email@example.com if you are 21+ and interested in joining us. A guaranteed good time and a great chance to help support SD64 DFL as we get to keep all tips!
Please join Senator Dick Cohen and Representatives Erin Murphy and Dave Pinto and your friends on the SD64 DFL leadership team for a holiday fundraiser/get together at the lovely home of Charles and Terri Stander on Wednesday, December 9th. Hors d’oeuvres, wine, and soft drinks will be served.

You’ll also be able to mingle with your legislators and enjoy some appetizers. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. Don’t let this opportunity to donate free money get away!

The St. Paul DFL is having a fundraiser at the Midway Pro Bowl on Monday, April 13, at 7:00pm. The party has rented out the entire facility, so there will be plenty of lanes as well as plenty of space to mingle if bowling isn’t your thing. You can sign up a team of four or sign yourself up and meet your team there. This is a great opportunity to bowl a few frames, hang out with local activists, and support the DFL as they prepare for what is expected to be a historically large convention. If you’re interested in joining, you can sign up here.
Representative Paymar has done a wonderful job representing our district over the years, and we’re honoring his career with a retirement party and fundraiser this month. We’ll be celebrating at the home of Charles Stander, 574 Summit Avenue, here in St. Paul on Tuesday, September 30, from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Some previous communications had a different address, but 574 Summit is the correct address.
We have a long list of co-hosts who will be coming out to help us celebrate Michael Paymar, including:
Senator Dick Cohen
Speaker Paul Thissen
Majority Leader Erin Murphy
Ramsey County Attorney John Choi
Margaret Anderson Kelliher
Ramsey County Commissioner Rafael Ortega
