Cinco de Mayo Parade – May 3

The first parade of the parade season is upon us! St. Paul’s Cinco de Mayo Parade is being held on Saturday, May 3. Mark Dayton for a Better Minnesota (Governor Dayton’s re-election campaign) is looking for volunteers to march in the parade with them. The parade route isn’t too long and it ends at the Cinco de Mayo festival, so after marching you won’t have to go far to enjoy the wonderful food and music of Cinco de Mayo.

The Dayton campaign is asking volunteers to show up at DFL headquarters at 8:15am on Saturday. If you’re interested in joining us, e-mail Emily Weber at eweber@dfl.org. We hope to see you there! Here are the full details:

Phone Bank for City Candidates 10/22

The St. Paul DFL is running a phone bank on October 22 to make sure voters know about the election this November 5, and to get support for our DFL endorsed candidates. This particular phone bank has been adopted by the SD64 DFL, and we’ll be making calls from 5:30pm to 8:30pm to support Mayor Chris Coleman and our School Board Candidates: Chue Vue, Jean O’Connell, and John Brodrick. Many St. Paul residents don’t know about the upcoming election, so events like this are very important for getting the word out.

DFL Day of Action – This Saturday!

The DFL is having a statewide day of action this Saturday, August 17, and we’re taking part here in St. Paul! From 1-4pm we’ll be canvassing with Mayor Chris Coleman’s campaign.  This is an excellent opportunity to talk about the great things the Mayor has done for the city, and the great things that the legislature has been doing for the whole State.

Door knocking events like this are also a big part of the DFL’s plan to get our message out in the off year. The canvass will be coordinated so that you can be knocking on doors right here in SD64, talking to your neighbors.
