Special Election Door knock & SD64 Meeting

Join Erin Murphy, Dave Pinto, and Ken Martin at a door knock this Sunday for Laurie Warner, MN house candidate for 32B, whose special election is next Tuesday the 14th. The SD64 flying squad will meet at the Bean Factory at 10:45 AM. Please RSVP to marktraceur@gmail.com and mention whether you can drive, or if you would prefer to carpool. If you prefer another time or day, door knocks are happening twice a day, Saturday through Tuesday. If you prefer hitting the phones, the campaign has opportunities at the same times, from the state DFL headquarters. We hope to see you out and continue the great reputation SD64 has had in this campaign!

SD64 Meeting Next Wednesday, February 15th
Macalester College
Room: Carnegie 107
Starts at 7pm and like always will not go past 8pm!

Rock the Knock this weekend!

Help make a difference. Rock the Knock this weekend!…JOIN US! No experienced needed!

This has been a strong week for Democrats! Let’s keep up the momentum and push hard through the election to ensure victory up and down the ticket and win majorities!

It’s not too late to register for this weekend’s door knocks! Saturday U.S. Representative Betty McCollum and School Board Candidate Jeannie Foster will be meeting volunteers at Golden Thymes Café at 9:30 a.m. to canvass around St. Paul.

On Sunday, join our local legislators and a “flying squad” crew in Woodbury to help turn out votes for the Woodbury Democrats running in tight elections. We will meet in Woodbury at 1740 Weir Drive at 1:30 (Please note! There are lane closures on 94 over the weekend heading into Woodbury). If you need a ride please contact Katie. Here’s a link to the volunteer registrations for more information and to sign up!

Here’s an alternative route to the knock starting location: take Warner Rd to Hwy 61 south, and turn left onto Lower Afton Rd. This turns into Valley Creek Rd when you cross from Maplewood to Woodbury. At Weir Dr in Woodbury, you turn right. The strip mall to the right is where the field office is (between Subway and State Farm). Here’s a map and directions for this route from downtown St. Paul.

Help get out the early vote!

SD64 DFLers, you can help get out early voters, and teach people about early voting, by volunteering at an early vote phonebank.

You have probably heard Kieran talking about early voting at our Central Committee meetings. This phonebank program is one of the projects he’s working on to push early voting, and it’s an easy way to contribute, especially on hot summer days!

Phonebanks have been going on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at various locations in St. Paul and Minneapolis. Tonight, we had a great turnout, but I think SD64 can do better!

Email Eric Ferguson, the SD63 DFL chair, at eferguson@dfl.org to help out. He’ll give you details like times and locations. Tell him you’re from SD64, so he knows we’re out in force! I hope to see you there.
