It’s that time of year—the Vento Dinner—the premier event in the fourth CD—is around the corner. The planners are stepping it up a notch. They are engaging all the Senate Districts in a competition to see who can raise the most—by donating silent auction items and buying tables. We need your help! On Sunday August 29, join us for a district wide doorknock event to speak with targeted voters in our district. We’ll talk with folks about the November election and ask folks to take lawn signs for Sen. Cohen, Rep. Murphy & Rep. Paymar. We will meet at 4pm at Senator Cohen’s house (591 South Cretin Avenue). Join Sen. Dick Cohen, Rep. Erin Murphy & Rep. Michael Paymar along with special guest U.S. Congresswoman Betty McCollum and friends from SD64 for a “Fun”raiser at Sweeney’s from 5-7pm on Monday August 30.

Join us Saturday morning, July 31, for coordinated DFL doorknock. We’ll be meeting at 9:30am at the home of Eric Celeste, 1993 Lincoln Avenue.

The Flying Squad will be door-knocking for Mike Obermueller in 38B on Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Let’s do everything we can to keep a tough seat in DFL hands! It’s going to be a great time, so please join us. (And a prize to the first person who emails with the correct answer as to why this district is particularly special.)

Laurel from the Coordinated Campaign will be conduction a training for using the voter file to recruit volunteers and to make voter contacts from home. We would like to get as many precinct teams, and other interested volunteers there as possible.
