The DFL is the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party of the State of Minnesota. It was formed by the union of the Democratic and Farm-Labor parties in 1944. Today this is pretty much the Democratic party you would find anywhere else in the United States, but it has a rich history with a few added twists unique to the Minnesota.
